November 2026 Energy Report: The Crossroads Are Calling

November 2026 is a month filled with turning points.

We begin with one foot in the past and the other hovering before an unfamiliar road.

Mercury and Venus are still retrograde as November begins, returning us to conversations, feelings, relationships, desires and decisions that may not be entirely finished with us. Something we thought we understood may reveal another layer. Something we once wanted may no longer fit. Something that has been gently calling us forward may become impossible to ignore.

This is not the Universe dragging us backwards.

It is the final lantern held over the path we have already travelled.

The Scorpio New Moon then carries us beneath the surface. Scorpio is not interested in a decorative fresh start. It asks what must be released at the root. Where have fear, resentment, secrecy or old attachments been holding power? What are you ready to stop feeding with your precious energy?

As Mercury and Venus turn direct, the mist begins to lift. Answers may arrive. Stalled conversations may reopen. We may finally understand what the returning people, memories and patterns have been trying to show us.

Then Mars meets Jupiter in fiery Leo, restoring courage, confidence and the desire to act. This is powerful energy… but it can also be excessive. Courage is useful. Urgency is not always intuition. Before charging down the nearest open road, make certain it is truly yours.

Sagittarius season draws our gaze towards the horizon, while the Gemini Full Moon may bring unexpected news, sudden revelations or an entirely new possibility. A road we dismissed could reopen. A plan may need to change. The answer may arrive through a conversation, message, dream or flash of knowing.

Across the Wheel of the Year, we are also stepping beyond a seasonal threshold. In the Northern Hemisphere, the Samhain darkness deepens. In the Southern Hemisphere, Beltane’s fires awaken growth, pleasure and life. One half of the world descends while the other blooms… but both remind us that transformation is always about movement and change.

Throughout this Energy Report, we’ll explore November’s most important astrological and magickal dates, the Scorpio New Moon and Gemini Full Moon, Hecate’s Night, the season’s meteor showers and practical ways to work with the choices appearing before you.

November is not asking you to see every twist in the road ahead.

It is asking you to lift your lantern, choose your next true step… and begin.

Your Magickal November Calendar

Use this calendar to plan your rituals, spellwork and moments of reflection throughout the month. Astrological dates are given in Pacific Time.

November 1–2 – All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day
Hallowtide continues with two traditional days of remembrance. All Saints honours saints, holy people and spiritual intercessors, while All Souls is devoted to prayer and remembrance for the departed. Light a candle, offer fresh water or flowers and speak the names of those you wish to honour.

Around November 7 – The Solar Cross-Quarter
The Sun reaches the midpoint between the Equinox and Solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is sometimes called astronomical Samhain: the seasonal descent into deeper darkness. In the Southern Hemisphere, astronomical Beltane carries us further into warmth, fertility and growing life.

November 8 – Scorpio New Moon
This New Moon reaches its darkest point late on November 8 in Pacific Time. Scorpio invites us to work at the root. Release what has quietly gained too much power, clear emotional or spiritual debris and choose one meaningful intention worthy of your devotion.

November 13 – Mercury and Venus Turn Direct
Mercury turns direct in Scorpio, followed later the same day by Venus in Libra. Conversations, relationships, financial matters and personal desires may begin moving again.

November 15 – Mars Conjunct Jupiter in Leo
Mars joins abundant Jupiter late tonight, filling the air with confidence, ambition and creative fire. This can give us the courage to take a chance… but it can also tempt us to promise too much, spend too much or mistake excitement for certainty.

November 16 – Hecate’s Night
Many modern witches observe November 16 as Hecate’s Night, honouring the Goddess of torches, keys, crossroads and thresholds. This fixed date is a modern tradition rather than a documented ancient Greek festival, but it can still be a meaningful night for contemporary devotion.

November 20 – Hecate Crossroads Live Group Spell
Tonight, our worldwide Magickal Family will gather for the Hecate Crossroads Live Group Spell. Together, we will carry our questions to the crossroads, seek Hecate’s torchlight and work Magick for guidance, opened roads and the courage to choose our next path.

November 21–22 – Sagittarius Season Begins
The Sun enters Sagittarius late on November 21 in Pacific Time, turning our attention towards possibility, wisdom, adventure and the road ahead.

November 24 – Gemini Full Moon
The Gemini Full Moon illuminates communication, information, questions and choices. Closely aligned with unpredictable Uranus, it may bring surprising news, a sudden realisation or a change of plans.

November 25 – Mars Enters Virgo
Mars leaves fiery Leo and enters practical Virgo. Inspiration now needs a plan. Break the next stage into manageable steps, organise your tools and do the small piece of work that makes the larger vision possible.

The Flow of November

November begins with the feeling that something is still being worked out.

Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio, returning us to old conversations, unanswered questions and hidden information. Venus is also retrograde in Libra, encouraging us to reconsider our relationships, desires, finances and values.

You may revisit a decision you thought you had already made. An old feeling may return… or you may realise that something you once wanted no longer feels right or fits in your life.

Try not to rush into deciding what it means.

The past does not always return because we are meant to recreate it. Sometimes the past comes back because we are finally ready to understand it, learn from it or choose differently.

The Scorpio New Moon offers a quiet opportunity to clear the air. Where has fear been making your decisions? What have you continued carrying because releasing it would require change? What has been taking your energy without giving anything back?

You do not need to solve everything beneath this Moon. Simply naming what is happening can loosen its hold.

On November 13, Mercury and Venus both turn direct. Answers may begin arriving, delayed conversations can move forward and our own desires may become easier to hear.

Soon afterwards, Mars meets Jupiter in confident Leo, bringing courage, creativity and possibility. You may finally feel ready to take a chance, make a decision or stand up for yourself!

Hecate’s Night and our Hecate Crossroads Live Group Spell on November 20 create the spiritual heart of the month: a chance to pause, ask for guidance and consider which road genuinely belongs to you.

When the Sun enters Sagittarius, the atmosphere lightens. After Scorpio’s emotional depths, Sagittarius reminds us that there is still a wide world beyond the problem we have been staring at.

The Gemini Full Moon may then bring surprising news, an unexpected conversation or a sudden change of perspective. If plans change, stay curious. A detour is not always a disaster. Sometimes it is how Magick steers us around something we cannot yet see.

Finally, Mars enters practical Virgo and asks us to act upon what we have learned.

Make the appointment. Research the opportunity. Have the conversation. Take one manageable step.

You do not need to know where the entire road leads. You only need enough light… and enough courage… to take the next step.

The Torch at the Crossroads: Hecate, Keys & Choosing Your Way

A crossroads is more than a place where two roads cross over one another. Magickally, it is a place of liminality, choice, possibility and transformation.

Hecate (also spelled Hekate) is closely associated with crossroads, thresholds and liminal spaces.

In ancient Greek art, Hecate was often shown holding two torches. In the story of Persephone, she uses their light to guide the way through darkness. Later statues sometimes portrayed her in triple form, facing in three directions as though watching every road at once.

Hecate also guarded pathways, entrances and household boundaries. Small shrines were placed near doors and crossroads to seek her protection against harmful influences. She did not merely belong to the wild, mysterious places beyond the village.

Hecate’s darkness is the darkness surrounding the torch. That is: the unknown that exists just beyond what we can currently see.

She does not necessarily reveal the entire road. Most of the time she illuminates only the next few steps.

Keys have also become a powerful symbol in modern work with Hecate.
A key can open a road, unlock hidden knowledge or grant access to a new part of life. It can also close a door, secure a boundary and protect what must remain private.

When working with a key, be clear about what you are asking it to do.

Crossroads also appear in many other systems of folk Magick, but these traditions should not all be treated as interchangeable. In African American hoodoo, for example, specific crossroads rites are traditionally used to gain mastery of a skill, disperse spiritual remains or open the way. These practices carry their own history and procedures.

For a simple personal practice, you do not need to travel to a lonely country intersection at midnight. You can create a symbolic crossroads upon your altar using sprinkled herbs, two crossed sticks, two ribbons or four small candles arranged around a central key.

Sit before it and ask:

What road am I ready to leave?
What road is opening before me now?

Then listen.

The answer may arrive as a feeling, a memory, a card pulled from your tarot deck or one practical idea that suddenly feels obvious.

How to Work With November’s Energy

November brings us several opportunities to pause, reassess and change direction. The following practices will help you move through the month with greater clarity, intention and Magick.

1. Notice What Returns

During the first half of November, pay attention to the feelings, conversations and patterns that resurface.

Ask yourself:

🐈‍⬛ Is this still true for me?

🐈‍⬛ Does this belong in my future… or is it an echo from my past?

🐈‍⬛ What might this return be helping me to understand?

You do not need to act immediately. Begin by noticing.

2. Clear The Road

Beneath the Scorpio New Moon, cleanse your space (especially the entrance to your home or room) and write down anything preventing you from seeing clearly.

Fear of disappointing someone.
Attachment to an old identity.
The need to know exactly how everything will unfold.
A choice you keep postponing because neither road feels entirely safe.

Safely burn, tear or discard the paper. You are not forcing an answer. You are clearing away some of the noise surrounding it.

3. Ask for the Next Step

When seeking guidance, resist the feeling of needing to see the whole journey ahead. Instead, ask a more useful question:

“What is my best next step?”

Pull one tarot card, sit quietly with a candle and allow space for an answer to drop in. It may arrive right away, or later in a dream or through a simple coincidence. Carry a key to remind yourself that the way forward does not need to reveal itself all at once. A journey is made one step at a time.

4. Meet Your Magick Halfway

As Mercury and Venus move forward, allow yourself to do the same.

Send the message.
Make the appointment.
Research the opportunity.
Set the boundary.
Begin the application.

Take one small but physical step towards the road you have chosen.

By the end of November, Mars in Virgo reminds us that a decision becomes powerful when it changes what we actually do.

You do not need to walk the entire road today.
Just take one step.

A Final Word for November

November may not hand us one perfect answer or an unmistakable sign pointing towards the right road.

What it does offer is the opportunity to become more honest about what we want, what we have outgrown and what we are willing to do next.

Pay attention to what returns this month… but remember that you do not need to welcome everything back. Notice which possibilities bring energy into your body and which ones immediately make you feel smaller, heavier or less like yourself.

When you find yourself at a crossroads, take your time. Gather the information you need. Ask for guidance. Consult your cards, your spirits and your own inner knowing.

Then make the best choice you can with what you know now.

You are allowed to change direction later. You are allowed to discover that a road is not what you expected. Choosing a path does not trap you there forever.

Magick can illuminate possibilities, clear obstacles and strengthen our courage… but eventually, the move is ours to make.

So begin gently.

Take one practical step towards the life you truly wish to create… and allow the next part of the road to meet you there!

Here’s to clearer choices, opened roads and a little beam of Hecate’s torchlight whenever we need it most.
