How to Master the Magickal Art of VisualizationGreetings Magickal Students, Galena here! 💗Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to the craft, visualization is a tool you will need to keep sharp and ready for any magickal work! “Visualization” is a word that’s thrown around often in spiritual communities-- so what exactly is it? 🤔Firstly, I want to assure you that while visualization is powerful and necessary for many magickal workings, it isn’t as difficult as it may seem. We each visualize every day during the most mundane of tasks! This makes visualization one of the most accessible tools in a practitioners kit. 👁Magickal visualization is the intentional use of imagination. When we slip into a daydream or find ourselves fantasizing about a possible future, we are visualizing unintentionally. If a spell requires you to visualize something, you are being asked to imagine what that experience looks and feels like! 🧠Here are some practices that can help you strengthen your visualization:Candle Technique: Imagine a candle, and picture the flame in your mind. How does the flame waver and flicker? What color is the candle? What color is the flame? To flex your visualization muscles, imagine the flame going out and reigniting 10 times. 🕯Feed your subconscious: consider making the lock screen on your phone or laptop an image that encapsulates your intended outcome. Seeing the image subconsciously will make it easier for you to visualize in your mind later! 📱Vision boarding: If you struggle to imagine your desired outcome internally, consider finding inspiration by creating images as a vision board! Sometimes, external imagery can get the ball rolling to fuel our imaginations! This can be in the form of a Pinterest board, magazine clippings, or even drawings! 📸Reading: I don’t know about you all, but after graduating from high school, my interest in reading definitely tapered off. However, I want to encourage you all to crack open a fantastical novel! Regardless of genre, reading is one of the most practical ways to reignite our imaginations and strengthen our ability to visualize without external imagery. Bonus points for my bookworm witches: share in the comments any books that have inspired your relationship with magick! Audiobooks totally count! 📖While the idea of visualization may seem intimidating (especially for those of us who are not visual learners), I hope these ideas give you all a place to start! I’ll also be making a video on one of my favorite visualization hacks on the SCC Youtube Channel next week, so be on the lookout for that! -Galena 🌟#powerfulspells#spellsthatwork#beginnerwitch ...
